Last week I wrote a query letter to a literary agent. The reply was positive – short non-fiction collections are a hard sell, but send me a proposal and I’ll take a look. Figuring out which pieces I wanted to include in the proposal as samples of the what the whole book would be like took me a few days of hemming and hawing, but here’s the list of what made the cut:
